a poopie story

if you are eating or squeamish about poop, do not read further.

you know what i've been saying about parenting being a 24/7 job? here's another story.

LP's poop had been on the wet side for a couple of weeks. 3x a day. so when we had the vaccines done last week, our pedia ordered a stool test. chong hua's procedure is:

1. take doctor's order to lab
2. lab prepares an order sheet (ask them to forward to doc's office so doc can let you know the results rather than going back to lab and again to doctor.) lab hands you a container for the sample (i failed to take a picture of this container that rocks).
3. pay for test at the cashier
4. go home and wait for baby to poop
5. when baby poops, take sample to lab within an hour
6. lab sends results to doctor's office.

simple?

guess, what, LP decided not to poop the next day!

and when he did, it was always inconvenient:

1. we were about to sit down for a meal
2. rush hour traffic was happening outside (and the 1 hour limit might expire)
3. we were about to start an office meeting
and so on...

tonight he pooped at 10pm. BBB stays to put LP to bed, i get to courier the sample to the hospital.

i typed this going to chong hua and back. fortunately, their lab operates 24 hours. and its only 25 minutes to get there and back.

cost: cab to chong hua Php 50 (and back so that's 100)
lab test (paid last week) Php 80
