globe 211 fail

my mobile telecoms provider is Globe. i used to be a smart addict, having proven (after all travel in the philippines that i'd done) that smart reaches the far corners and remote islands of the philippines. however, that changed when BBB lived back in the UK (from belgium) in 2005. my smart could not text his O2, and since his subscription was new and mine was up for renewal, it made sense that i switched providers.

anyway, i wanted to inquire with globe about reactivating my roaming (for an upcoming trip to hongkong) and to try and kill my globe browsing (since my e52 can detect wifi). i rang globe's mobile hotline 211 and followed the correct dialing procedure to take me to a customer service rep.

i landed in technical support. the insists to give me the correct dialing procedure. i give him a chance to rattle it off, after which, i informed him that that was exactly what i had done.

he said the system routed me to him. and he is unable to cater to and answer my questions. and he said the only thing to do is for me to dial again, go through the hoops, and hope that the correct type of agent picks up the call.

f@cking waste of time. globe 211 fail. truth be told, i prefer being informed that all relevant reps are unavailable, and to please hold my line, leave a message yada yada yada yada...
